Shanghai, May 22nd, 2018 – Absolute Racing is pleased to announce Jaden Conwright as one of its drivers for the inaugural season of Formula 3 Asian Championship certified by FIA. The 19-year-old, who resides in California in the USA, is the first confirmed driver for Sepang, Shanghai and Zhuhai based team’s single seater programme and arrives in Asia with a solid racing background in America and Europe.
2016 World Speed Motorsports Rising Star Award winner Jaden Conwright has competed in the highly competitive Italian F4 Championship in 2015, scoring five top 5 finishes and one podium finish. Last season Conwright took part of a Driver Development Programme from one of the European single seater powerhouses in preparation for the 2018 season.
Bhurit Bhirombhakdi was the “Ringmeister” this past weekend in the Audi Sport R8 LMS Cup double-header at the 5.148 km Grand Prix configuration of the Nürburgring circuit. Singha Plan by Absolute Racing driver won both races of the weekend, joining Andrew Haryanto on the Audi Sport R8 LMS Cup team line up for 2019 Total 24 Hours of Spa – a reward on offer to the highest points-scorer in each country on the Cup’s 2018 calendar.
The seven-car Asian fleet of Absolute Racing started off the weekend on right foot with Bhirombhakdi and Haryanto sharing pole-positions in the Cup first European event, where fortunately the unpredictable weather of the Eifel region didn’t come to play.
On Friday Bhirombhakdi converted his first place start into a tremendous first race win in the series as Haryanto finished second overall and kept the championship lead intact.

Absolute Racing are heading to Europe! The second Audi Sport R8 LMS Cup event of the season is upon us, with the teams and drivers travelling to Germany for the Round 3 & 4.
The Cup will make the European debut on May 11-12 in support of one of the most important GT races in the world – the Nürburgring 24 Hours. This event also marks the return of Absolute Racing to the continent where the sport began.
The Cup’s second double-header will be held on the 5.148 km Grand Prix configuration of the circuit. The Eifel Forest circuit demands the ultimate respect of everyone who turns a wheel on its undulating and challenging twists and turns. The weather adds an element of unpredictability that can shake things up.
Absolute Racing’s 2018 Blancpain GT Asia Series campaign got underway at the 5.452-km Sepang International Circuit this weekend (14-15 April 2018, with Anthony Liu and Josh Burdon scoring a second-place result after the young Australian snatched a surprise pole-position on his GT3 debut weekend.
Teammates Cheng Congfu and Martin Rump clinched the first win in the Silver Cup class as Andrew Kim and Adderly Fong showed that they can also be a force in the upcoming races.
Qualifying brought a very strong performance by the Chinese-based team. Setting the grid positions for race one, Cheng Cong Fu led the Absolute Racing charge in the first fifteen-minute qualifying session on Saturday morning, finding a competitive set-up in his #3 Audi R8 LMS charger to set the fourth fastest lap time. Liu qualified eight in the #37 Paragon Water Systems sponsored entry, and Andrew Kim placed his #7 Audi in 15th.
Absolute Racing serviced teams celebrated a 1-2 result in the opening round of the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia last weekend at the Shanghai International Circuit (14-15 of April 2018), with Philip Hamprecht taking the honour of winning the first race of the new season.
Absolute Racing headed to the “home race” with three new drivers among its six-car team. Team StarChase’s Philip Hamprecht and est Cola PTT’s Tanart Sathienthirakul continue this year, while Yuan Bo returns to the Carrera Cup Asia fold representing the new team dealer Porsche Shanghai Waigaoqiao & Pudong. Start of the 2018 GT Asia Series and Thailand Super Series kicked off in style for Absolute Racing serviced teams, who finished 1-2-3 in both races, monopolizing the podium at the Sepang International Circuit, Malaysia.
The China based team had entered three Audi R8 LMS and a Porsche 997 GT3-R in the race, and had provided technical support to a Bentley Continental GT3 and an Audi R8 Ultra GT3.
The strong showing of the Absolute Racing-run teams started in qualifying with Adderly Fong (Audi R8 LMS) and Tanart Sathienthirakul (Porsche 997 GT3-R) sharing pole positions, and continued later on the day.
Starting from the front row for Saturday’s race, and taking advantage of a slow getaway by the pole-sitter, est Cola by AAS Motorsport Bentley Continental GT3 of Kantadhee Kusiri and Vutthikorn Inthraphuvasak delivered a flawless performance at the top of the 26-lap race. Not even a Safety-Car period to remove a stricken car could spoil
