Shanghai, 18th June 2017 – Absolute Racing dominated proceedings at the third round of the 2017 Formula Masters Asian Series in Zhuhai, People’s Republic of China this weekend. The home based squad leads the Teams and Drivers’ Championship with Daniel Lu following his fifth season win and a podium finish, while teammate Arvin Esmaeili produced an impressive performance in the last race to secure his maiden single seater win.

Kuala Lumpur, May 6th, 2017 – Absolute Racing youngsters stole the show in the second round of Formula Masters Series. James Yu, with a hat-trick of wins, and Daniel Lu swept the second weekend of the series at Sepang International Circuit.
Looking very strong last event but missing out on a podium was James Yu, who arrived in Malaysia ready to turn around his fortune. Absolute Racing’s Daniel Lu extended his lead in the Formula Masters Series on Sunday to 19 points with his third victory of the season at Sepang.
On Saturday’s races, Lu took two commanding victories, while teammate Arvin Esmaeili finished impressively third and second.
Sunday morning’s Race 3 saw a three car battle for the win, Starting from 4th, Lu quickly moved up to third but he couldn’t go any further in the classification as the 6-lap race action was shorten by a safety car period. With two cars off the circuit in dangerous positions, the safety car was deployed right after the lap one. The race restarted with two laps to go but Lu, who smartly kept his head down

Absolute Racing started the defence of its Formula Masters Series Driver and Teams’titles with two superb wins at Sepang. Daniel Lu took the honours of the championship today, winning the first two races of the season. Teammate Arvin Esmaeili also climbed to the podium twice in Malaysia. Manuel Cabrera and James Yu scored precious points for the championship.
Tricky track conditions plagued Friday’s qualifying for the team but this Saturday was a much different story for the Absolute Racing quartet.
From fourth on the grid in race one of the weekend, Lu moved quickly to third to be in a position to challenge for victory. Lu was already second when the Safety-Car came out with four laps to go, helping to shorten the distance to the race
2016 Teams’ and Drivers’ champions Absolute Racing will field a strong four-car line up for the team’s third assault on the 2017 Formula Master Series (FMS).
Last season saw the team win the championship with Philip Hamprecht, while teammate Zheng Shang Guan took home the “Best Chinese Drivers” title. FMS see’s a whole new challenge for the team this season.
Representing the team will be Arvin Esmaeili, Daniel Lu, James Yu Kuai and Manuel Cabrera. The quartet will make their championship debuts with Absolute Racing this year, but all four have experience of working with the team from winter testing in Zhuhai and Sepang.
Singaporean born Esmaeili will step up from karting to his first single seater championship. The Swedish, 19, was a top contender in the Singapore Karting Championship and has performed progressively in testing the Formula Masters Series car with the Absolute team.
