Absolute Racing serviced teams celebrated a 1-2 result in the opening round of the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia last weekend at the Shanghai International Circuit (14-15 of April 2018), with Philip Hamprecht taking the honour of winning the first race of the new season.
Absolute Racing headed to the “home race” with three new drivers among its six-car team. Team StarChase’s Philip Hamprecht and est Cola PTT’s Tanart Sathienthirakul continue this year, while Yuan Bo returns to the Carrera Cup Asia fold representing the new team dealer Porsche Shanghai Waigaoqiao & Pudong. Porsche China Junior’s Daniel Lu and Zheng Tong Auto’s Bao Jing Long joined the team this year. 2016 Carrera Cup Asia Vice-Champion Maxime Jousse returned to the series in this race to drive the #66 AAS Motorsport by Absolute Racing entry.

With three official days of testing, the five Absolute Racing serviced teams continued their preparations for the 2018 Porsche Carrera Cup Asia season at the Shanghai International Circuit.
Absolute Racing heads to the new season with two new drivers among its six-car team. Team StarChase’s Philip Hamprecht and est Cola PTT’s Tanart Sathienthirakul continue this year, while Yuan Bo returns to the Carrera Cup Asia fold representing the new team dealer Porsche Shanghai Waigaoqiao & Pudong. Tanart Sathienthirakul will compete in the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia for a second consecutive full season having completed a deal with Absolute Racing.
Last season the 25-year-old driver Thailand debuted in the series with Absolute Racing, finishing seventh in the Overall Class standings, and both parties are now happy to announce the continuation of his partnership with the team.

Chinese driver Bao Jing Long is hoping to improve on last year’s performance. A successful winter testing at Sepang in beginning of the year was key to convince the team and the driver to join forces in 2018.

SHANGHAI, 5th of November – Absolute Racing-run Team StarChase made a spectacular return to the top step of the podium last weekend at its home track Shanghai International Circuit during an action-packed finale to the 2017 Porsche Carrera Cup Asia season. Philip Hamprecht won the last race of the season as team-mates Yuan Bo and Tanart Sathienthirakul offered glimpses of their true pace.

SHANGHAI, 2nd of October – Absolute Racing run Team StarChase driver Philip Hamprecht narrowly missed out on a podium finish in Round 11 of the 2017 Porsche Carrera Cup Asia at the Sepang International Circuit. The 20 year-old German wasn’t able to convert his pole position into a win, but was able to claim an important fourth-place finish.

SHANGHAI, 18th of September – Team StarChase’s Philip Hamprecht claimed his maiden Porsche Carrera Cup Asia win in Saturday night’s Round 9 on a weekend that Tanart Sathienthirakul e Team C&D Auto’s Yuan Bo collected important points for the championship standings.
As the lights went out for the first and only night race of the season, Hamprecht, who qualified fifth, quickly moved up to fourth. The German driver stayed there for the rest of the 12-lap race. But the best was yet to come.
