Martin Rump and Weiron Tan return for another shot at the GT World Challenge Asia title with Audi Sport Asia Team Absolute. The silver-graded duo won two races in the series together in 2019 on their way to a sixth-place finish in the final standings. The pair, both recently announced as Audi Sport Asia drivers for 2020, will be looking to build on their experience together with the Audi R8 LMS as Asia’s leading multi-marque GT series enters its fourth [...]

Absolute Racing and B-Quik Racing Co. Ltd. (“B-Quik Racing”) are pleased to announce a new strategic partnership focused on the Thai market and in particular centred on Thailand Super Series 2020 (“TSS”) which will further strengthen, leverage and formalise the already close ties the two teams have enjoyed over recent seasons. B-Quik Absolute Racing, as the new merged entity will be called, will commence at the Vietnam F1 Grand Prix where it will enter three Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evos MY2019 in the supporting TSS round.

This repositioning is an entirely logical progression that’s builds on last year and sets us up for the long-term future and as such it proved quite straightforward to put together.

B-Quik Racing has benefited from technical, engineering [...]

Absolute Racing is set to enter one Audi R8 LMS GT4 car in the six-round GT World Challenge Asia in 2020 with Indonesia’s Anderson Tanoto and Denmark’s Nicolaj Møller Madsen.

The Chinese squad, led by Fabien Fior and Ingo Matter, is the first team to confirm plans to run a new-for-2020 Audi R8 LMS GT4 Evo car in the series this season. Absolute Racing first sampled the GT4 Class at Suzuka circuit last year and that exploratory outing has prompted the team to enter a Audi R8 LMS GT4 for long-standing Audi Sport R8 LMS Cup driver Tanoto and ex-GT4 European Championship race winner Møller Madsen. Tanoto and Mark Williamson took the #89 Absolute Racing Audi R8 LMS GT4 entry to a double class podium on its deb [...]

On Saturday morning a puncture in Q1 did not prevent Matt Campbell, Dirk Werner and Dennis Olsen to progress through to the top 20 Pole Shootout. Dirk Werner turned the fastest Porsche lap in a time of 2:01.306 minutes, qualifying the #912 Absolute Racing entry in eleventh on the grid.

An unfortunate refuelling issue with the #125 Audi R8 LMS GT3 in the last hour of the Suzuka 10 Hours race took away a potential race podium for Audi Sport Team Absolute Racing, Markus Winkelhock, Christopher Haase and Christopher Mies as the Intercontinental GT Challenge reconvened for the fourth round of the championship at the weekend (24-25 August).

Audi Sport Team Absolute Racing made its debut at the headline event of the Asian endurance calendar last year, securing a third place finish. This year the Chinese-based team was again fielding an Audi R8 LMS on behalf of the brand, targeting more silverware in the Japan’s most prestigious long-dist [...]

Porsche Motorsport Asia-Pacific customer team Absolute Racing are fired up and prepped to tackle the penultimate round of the 2019 Intercontinental GT Challenge Powered by Pirelli season this weekend (August 23-25), and the 48th running of the Summer Endurance sports car race at Suzuka in Japan.

This trio is just seven points adrift from the top spot in the #IntGTC Drivers’ standings as Porsche lies second in the Manufacturer’s standings just eight points behind.

In endurance racing terms, the 10 hours of Suzuka is the blue riband eve [...]

The Chinese lucky number eight proved to be just that today as the #888 Audi R8 LMS GT3 of Audi Sport Asia driver Martin Rump and Chinese talents Bao Jinlong and Yuan Bo took victory from pole in the inaugural SIC888 endurance race in Shanghai. Absolute Racing teammates Adderly Fong, Cheng Congfu and Sun Jingzu crossed the line in second, making it an Audi customer team one-two.

The Indonesian ‘super team’ of Audi Sport R8 LMS Cup stars Andrew Haryanto, Anderson Tanoto and former Formula 1 driver Rio Haryanto came home fifth overall, first in class with their Absolute Racing Audi R8 LMS GT4. On his Audi debut, and in his first race since F1, Ri [...]

One of Asia’s best young exports is the latest name to join the ranks of the inaugural SIC888 endurance race scheduled for Shanghai International Circuit on October 7, reigning Audi Sport R8 LMS Cup champion Alessio Picariello named alongside a couple of Cup legends – former championship runner-up Andre Couto, and the man who has made more starts than any other over seven seasons of the Cup, Jeffrey Lee.

The experienced Audi trio will form part of an Absolute Racing J-Fly entry where they will challenge for outright victory in the 888-kilometre event.

All three have experience competing together in endurance events, Couto and Lee sharing a car in the Japanese Super Taikyu series this year – making the podium in the hotly contested Fuji 24 Hour event – whilst Picariello and Lee have contested GT3 events across Asia as a strong partnership in the past.

A multiple winner in the Audi Sport R8 LMS

Three Absolute Racing drivers will join forces for the very first time to tackle the new SIC888 endurance event at Shanghai International Circuit on October 7.

Yuan Bo, Bao Jinlong and Martin Rump will take the wheel of an Absolute Racing Audi R8 LMS GT3 for the six plus hour event, with Rump spear-heading the team off the back of a stunning run at the Blancpain GT Series Asia round at the Chinese Formula 1 Grand Prix venue just over a week ago.

An experienced race winning campaigner in multiple GT championships, Rump – alongside Blancpain GT Series Asia team-mate Franky Cheng – qualified on the front row of the grid for the opening 60-minute race, but the young Estonian was forced to drive back through the field aft [...]

The former Manor Racing star joins Audi Sport R8 LMS Cup GT3 leader Andrew Haryanto and GT4 front-runner Anderson Tanoto to create an intriguing Indonesian super team, entered by Absolute Racing. The trio will race Tanoto’s Audi R8 LMS GT4 in the 888km endurance race.
