The 2013 Porsche Carerra Cup Asia got off to a blistering start as part of the Malaysian Grand Prix weekend in Sepang. Alexandre Imperatori and Egidio Perfetti in the #99 and #88 cars respectively turned 3rd and 12th grid positions into a podium result as Alexandre was narrowly beaten over the line by Martin Raddinger in the golden #86 car to take second place. A gap of only .3 of a second had the two leading cars riding each others bumpers past the checkered flag. Egidio drove aggressively to carve his way through the field to a 7th place overall finish.
The next two races in the season will be part of the program for this weekend’s Shanghai Formula 1, followed by events at the Zhuhai Circuit in early May
