Porsche Motorsport Asia-Pacific customer team Absolute Racing are fired up and prepped to tackle the penultimate round of the 2019 Intercontinental GT Challenge Powered by Pirelli season this weekend (August 23-25), and the 48th running of the Summer Endurance sports car race at Suzuka in Japan.

Audi Sport Asia Team Absolute came close to a victory in the Blancpain GT World Challenge Asia Round 9 and 10 at the 5.615km Korea International Circuit, but a controversial drive-through penalty denied Martin Rump and Weiron Tan a certain win in Sunday’s race.

For Saturday’s race one Tan lined up in sixth, while Sun Jingzu, who teams-up with Cheng Congfu in the #13 Audi Sport Asia Team Absolute entry, started in 14th. Both cars had bad starts, but bounced back in the 27-lap race.

ENsport Motors by Absolute Racing and Vincent Floirendo took part of the world-racing debut of the Porsche 911 GT2 RS Clubsport at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium on July 26/27.
The one-off event “Porsche Motorsport GT2 Supersportscar Weekend” took place on the occasion of the 24 Hours of Spa. It was the first opportunity for the team and the driver to meet the brand new 700 horsepower 911 GT2 RS Clubsport.

Start of the 2018 GT Asia Series and Thailand Super Series kicked off in style for Absolute Racing serviced teams, who finished 1-2-3 in both races, monopolizing the podium at the Sepang International Circuit, Malaysia.
The China based team had entered three Audi R8 LMS and a Porsche 997 GT3-R in the race, and had provided technical support to a Bentley Continental GT3 and an Audi R8 Ultra GT3.

Absolute Racing heads to the new season with two new drivers among its six-car team. Team StarChase’s Philip Hamprecht and est Cola PTT’s Tanart Sathienthirakul continue this year, while Yuan Bo returns to the Carrera Cup Asia fold representing the new team dealer Porsche Shanghai Waigaoqiao & Pudong. Porsche China Junior’s Daniel Lu and Zheng Tong Auto Bao Jing Long joined the team this year. The driver of the no. 66 car will be announced later.
