Absolute Racing celebrated a victorious weekend at Ningbo International Speedpark during rounds 4, 5 & 6 of the F3 Asian Championship Certified by FIA, with Jaden Conwright taking its maiden win of the season on the 4.060km Chinese track.
Heading into Saturday afternoon’s qualifying session off the back of a strong Free Practice performance, Conwright’s pace earned the #80 a first place spot for the start of Saturday’s opening race and for Sunday’s race ahead of team-mate Akash Nandy.
On Saturday’s morning race both Absolute Racing drivers had a poor start. Pole-sitter Conwright made a sluggish getaway and immediately lost three places but then enjoyed a good run to recover two positions during a thrilling first lap. The American showed a strong pace, setting the fastest lap of the race, but was just unable to put himself in a position to secure his first win in the series.
After the season kick-off in Sepang, the Absolute Racing is heading to Ningbo for the second event of 2018 F3 Asian Championship Certified by FIA.

The team is going into the weekend with optimism, after completing a successful two-day test, and expect to be competitive from the start. To better prepare the race weekend both drivers stayed in China over the short break.
All three races will be live-streamed on the official website and Facebook page.
