Double podium delight for Jamie Chadwick Double P7 for Tommy Smith Absolute Racing remains third in teams’ standings


Absolute Racing’s Jamie Chadwick unleashed her racing skills to secure the first double podium of her F3 Asian Championship campaign this weekend and climb to eighth in the drivers’ table. Australia’s Tommy Smith has taken a number of positives from a frenetic weekend of F3 racing in wet and dry conditions at Malaysia’s Sepang International Circuit.

Jamie Chadwick will join Absolute Racing to compete in the 2019/2020 F3 Asian Championship certified by FIA this winter – beginning at Sepang in Malaysia just two weeks from now, on 14th/15th December.

The Bath-born W Series and MRF Champion will use the F3 Asian series as a key part of her ongoing driver development and testing programme, alongside her winter preparation for the defence of her W Series title in 2020. She joins Absolute Racing alongside Devlin DeFrancesco, Daniel Cao and Tommy Smith.

Looking to get his year off to a flying start, Devlin DeFrancesco is proud to announce that he’ll be joining Absolute Racing to compete in the 2019/20 F3 Asian Championship certified by FIA.

After a promising 2019 FIA Formula 3 campaign, Devlin will be looking to continue his upwards trajectory as he tackles Asia for the first time. Entering its third season, the Asian F3 Championship visits Asia & Middle East’s most premier circuits from Sepang in Malaysia, to Yas Marina in Abu Dhabi, as well as to the Buriram International Circuit in Thailand and the Dubai Autodrome.

Absolute Racing are pleased to announce Daniel Cao Zhuo and Tommy Smith as the first drivers to officially join the team’s F3 Asian Championship certified by FIA squad. Both drivers tested with Absolute Racing at Sepang recently and will race for the team from the opening round in December.

Daniel Cao will remain within the Absolute Racing team for the new season. The Chinese driver starred in his first season with the team, taking 3rd overall in the 2019 F3 Asian Championship. He took two victories and eight podiums in total.

Absolute Racing drivers Daniel Cao Zhuo and Eshan Pieris put on a very satisfactory performance at Sepang International Circuit in the opening event of 2019 F3 Asian Championship Certified by FIA, including an impressive pole-position and a third-place finish of Cao in Round 1 on Saturday.

Absolute Racing racers Akash Nandy and Jaden Conwright put on a very satisfactory performance at Sepang International Circuit in the opening event of 2018 F3 Asian Championship Certified by FIA, including an impressive second place finish of Nandy in Round 3 on Sunday.

After a long week of assembling the Autotecnica Motori Alfa Romeo-powered Tatuus built cars and consequent first testing sessions, Nandy delighted his home fans putting in a respectable recital in the F3 Asian Championship Certified by FIA first ever qualifying session. The Malaysian driver set the fourth fastest time in Q1. He further improved in Q2, posting the second-fastest lap time, missing out on pole position by just four-hundredths of a second.

On the other side of the Absolute Racing garage, Jaden Conwright did an equally great job. The American driver, who didn’t run on Friday morning’s free practice session due to an electric problem, was eighth fastest in Q1. He also improved his position

Absolute Racing is determined to make its mark in the inaugural season of the F3 Asian Championship Certified by FIA that kicks off this weekend at Sepang International Circuit with Malaysia’s Akash Nandy and USA’s Jaden Conwright at the helm.

The team took delivery of two brand new Tatuus F.3 T-318 just ahead of this weekend’s round. It was all planned out. At the team’s HQ in Malaysia, Absolute Racing technicians worked at full throttle to get all the parts and pieces together, assembling the Autotecnica Motori Alfa Romeo-powered cars, getting it ready for the official pre-season test sessions on Monday and Tuesday which has taken place at Sepang International Circuit.


In anticipation of the weekend, Nandy and Conwright have been on top form during testing with both drivers showing their intentions clear with strong pace throughout. The team now look to put this into practice this weekend and the young duo face the

Dubai based GulfSport Racing’s efforts to develop the world’s most cost-effective driver development program have taken another step forward with the announcement of a partnership with Absolute Racing who compete in all major Asian championships and the new for 2018 Formula 3 Asian Championship certified by FIA.

The agreement creates a viable career path from karting through to the highest levels of motor racing and includes a prestigious award for the 2018/19 Formula Gulf Academy Champion of an F3 test at one of the top circuits in Asia.

Shanghai, May 22nd, 2018 – Absolute Racing is pleased to announce Jaden Conwright as one of its drivers for the inaugural season of Formula 3 Asian Championship certified by FIA.
The 19-year-old, who resides in California in the USA, is the first confirmed driver for Sepang, Shanghai and Zhuhai based team’s single seater programme and arrives in Asia with a solid racing background in America and Europe.

2016 World Speed Motorsports Rising Star Award winner Jaden Conwright has competed in the highly competitive Italian F4 Championship in 2015, scoring five top 5 finishes and one podium finish. Last season Conwright took part of a Driver Development Programme from one of the European single seater powerhouses in preparation for the 2018 season.
