Absolute Racing headed to the new Ningbo International Speedpark for the weekend’s two joint GT Masters Asia and GT Asia Series races. Following the win at the GT Asia Series season-opener in Sepang, Bhurit Bhrombhakdi and Kantasak Kusiri stormed to an outstanding double victory in China.

In the first qualifying session on Saturday morning, Bhurit Bhirombhakdi put #59 Singha PlanB Motorsport by Absolute Racing Audi R8 LMS on pole position for the first race of the weekend. Sun Jinzhou qualified fourth in the #13 Absolute Racing Audi R8 LMS, while Vincent Floirendo placed the #155 EN Sports by Absolute Racing Audi R8 LMS in sixth.

GT Asia Series front-runners Absolute Racing head to China this weekend as the competitive battle for the title resumes at the Ningbo International Speedpark.

At the moment Cheng Congfu and Sun Jingzu lie second in the championship standings, just a single point adrift. Eyeing a maiden win, #13 Absolute Racing Audi R8 LMS duo is aiming to get back on podium form after a strong round at Buriram, where they finished second overall in the opening race. Racing in home soil for the first time this season, the Chinese duo is looking to put that pace to good use this weekend.

Start of the 2018 GT Asia Series and Thailand Super Series kicked off in style for Absolute Racing serviced teams, who finished 1-2-3 in both races, monopolizing the podium at the Sepang International Circuit, Malaysia.

The China based team had entered three Audi R8 LMS and a Porsche 997 GT3-R in the race, and had provided technical support to a Bentley Continental GT3 and an Audi R8 Ultra GT3.

The strong showing of the Absolute Racing-run teams started in qualifying with Adderly Fong (Audi R8 LMS) and Tanart Sathienthirakul  (Porsche 997 GT3-R) sharing pole positions, and continued later on the day.

Starting from the front row for Saturday’s race, and taking advantage of a slow getaway by the pole-sitter, est Cola by AAS Motorsport Bentley Continental GT3 of Kantadhee Kusiri and Vutthikorn Inthraphuvasak delivered a flawless performance at the top of the 26-lap race.
