In a shortened weekend, EN Sport Motors by Absolute Racing’s Vincent Floirendo and Adderly Fong secured third position and the final step on the podium in Round 3 of the GT Masters Asia at Shanghai International Circuit, China.

While the podium position is a solid result, the team were left wanting for more as Sunday’s Round 4 has been cancelled due to the threat from a typhoon after a promising qualifying session from the two Absolute Racing-run Audi R8 LMS.

As per series regulations Am drivers take charge of qualifying duties. Therefore Bhurit Bhirombhakdi was handed the qualifying for the #59 Singha Plan B by Absolute Racing entry. On Saturday, Bhirombhakdi’s best lap put him fourth on the grid carrying 50kg of success ballast from the previous event in Ningbo.

This weekend marks the second round of the 2018 GT Masters Asia, where two Absolute Racing Audi R8 LMS serviced teams are keenly wait to compete in the team’s home event, aiming top tier results in front of the passionate Chinese crowd.

Following a race win at the GT Asia Series opening round at Sepang, Bhurit Bhrombhakdi and Kantasak Kusiri stormed to an outstanding double victory in the GT Masters Asia season-opener Ningbo International Speedpark. The #59 Singha Plan-B Motorsport by Absolute Racing duo sit in a comfortable first place in the standings, and will be aiming to return to the podium this weekend.

The Chinese Formula One Grand Prix venue, with sweeping curves and long straights, offers a totally different scenario to the Ningbo circuit, which played host to the opening event. Vincent Floirendo and Adderly Fong will share again the driving duties in the #55 EN Sports by Absolute Racing Audi R8 LMS,

Absolute Racing headed to the new Ningbo International Speedpark for the weekend’s two joint GT Masters Asia and GT Asia Series races. Following the win at the GT Asia Series season-opener in Sepang, Bhurit Bhrombhakdi and Kantasak Kusiri stormed to an outstanding double victory in China.

In the first qualifying session on Saturday morning, Bhurit Bhirombhakdi put #59 Singha PlanB Motorsport by Absolute Racing Audi R8 LMS on pole position for the first race of the weekend. Sun Jinzhou qualified fourth in the #13 Absolute Racing Audi R8 LMS, while Vincent Floirendo placed the #155 EN Sports by Absolute Racing Audi R8 LMS in sixth.
