B-Quik Absolute Racing is pleased to announce Henk Kiks and Rodney Jane will drive the #26 Audi R8 LMS GT3 evo II for this coming weekend’s round of Fanatec GT World Challenge Asia by AWS at Chang International Circuit, Buriram.
The team is pleased to make a one-off appearance in this prestigious international sportscar series in Asia. The trip to Thailand will represent Round 2 of Fanatec GT Asia 2024, and the timing is ideal as it makes back-to-back weekend’s in Buriram for B-Quik Absolute Racing following the season opener of TSS The Super Series which took place here last weekend.
Kiks is the team founder and our team lead driver for more than 10 years with half of that spent racing the Audi R8 LMS GT3 while Buriram is the team’s local track so he knows it like the back of his hand.
Rodney Jane, meanwhile, is a driver that needs no introduction to race tracks. The former oval racer and now Porsche Carrera Cup Australia driver is the son of Australian touring car legend Bob Jane. Rod forged his own career in the sport, winning multiple titles in Porsche racing, and last year made a start at Le Mans in the all-Porsche Carrera Cup support race.
“We’re just come off the back of a good weekend here in Buriram with TSS The Super Series,” says Henk, “so the team is right up to speed, race sharp, we are right in the zone and pretty excited to join Fanatec GT Asia.
“The series is a showcase of skill and professionalism like no other, so it’s great to be able to race with these guys,” he adds. “It will be the first time I’ve raced with Rodney and that’s pretty exciting and going to be a lot of fun. A great guy and a friend, I’m kind of ticking off some boxes really here sharing a car with him for the first time. Let’s see what we can get out of this, we for sure want to be on the AM podium.”
"I can't wait to get over to Thailand and race at the Chang circuit," said Rodney Jane. "Racing alongside Henk will be a blast. We are good friends in business and in life, and sharing the seat with him is something I'm really looking forward to. I appreciate the opportunity that Henk has provided. "This will be my second race outside of Australia, and my first in Asia, so it's going to be a brand-new experience. I really look forward to making the most of the weekend with Henk in a B-Quik Bob Jane T-Marts car."
