A superb weekend for B-Quik Absolute Racing at the 16th Bangsaen Grand Prix, the second round of TSS The Super Series 2024, with the Super Car GT3 win on Saturday going to Deng Yi and Sandy Stuvik while Sunday’s victory was claimed by Daniel Lu and Li Xuanyu.

Henk Kiks and Adisak Tangpuncharoen backed that up by winning GT3 AM in both races to give us a clean sweep while there was further success in Super Car GT4 with an outright win on Saturday as well as GT4 AM.

Last Saturday and Sunday’s races were hard fought and contested right to the end, we had to work incredibly hard to emerge on top and those two wins allow us to continue to hold onto our advantage in the Super Car GT3 Team’s championship with two of five rounds completed.

Race 1

Race 1 was won by Stuvik and Yi in the Winhere by B-Quik Absolute Racing #37 Audi, both drivers superbly rose to the occasion and had to fight hard to stay in front during their respective stints. Only during the final few laps did their rivals fade away and allow them to cross the finishline with 12 seconds in hand.

China’s Vincent Lin, with German star Christopher Haase deputising alongside for this race, took fourth place in the #27 Audi to continue his consecutive podium run this season while Daniel Lu, driving the #62 Audi solo, was fifth. Kiks and Tangpuncharoen were next up to claim the GT3 AM win.

There was more glory in Super Car GT4 where Kiks, jumping between categories this weekend, and Erwin de Smit, pulled off a stunning overall win in a race that was stopped soon after half distance due to an accident that took time to clear. They also won GT4 AM to make it a clean sweep.

Race 2

Sunday’s second race saw the #62 Audi come alive and with Li Xuanyu back in the cockpit alongside Lu, the pair dug deep to take the race by the scruff of the neck and claim their first win at the Bangsaen Grand Prix at their first attempt and indeed their first ever win in TSS.

Yesterday’s winners, Stuvik and Yi, backed up that stunning result with another superb finish, this time they came home in third, fighting up the order and chasing very hard for P2, taking several stabs at making a pass stick. The points they picked up from the weekend haul them up the championship classification.

Making it three B-Quik Absolute Racing Audis on the podium were Kiks and Tangpuncharoen, who claimed fifth on Sunday and also took GT3 AM honours for the second consecutive day.

There was tough luck for Lin and Haase who made race ending contact with a barrier just five laps from home when chasing for the win.

In Super Car GT4 AM there were more trips to the podium for de Smit and Kiks, the pair fighting to the runners up spot this time to add to the day before’s win. The were also on the GT4 overall podium.
