Following the successful debut of its Ultraman Tiga-inspired livery earlier in the 2026 season, Absolute Racing has once again joined forces with model brand Trends Hobby to unveil a striking new artistic design for its Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2.
The Italian-made car will make its competitive debut this China GT Championship weekend at Zhuhai, where it will be shared by Chinese drivers Alex Liang Jiatong and Anson Chen Yechong.
Throughout the 2026 China GT season, Absolute Racing's Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2 will appear in a series of distinctive themed liveries. The Basquiat-inspired design unveiled this weekend is the second in that collection.
As part of the continuing collaboration between Absolute Racing and Trends Hobby, the new livery aims to use motorsport as a dynamic platform to connect automotive culture, artistic design and the spirit of competition. Together, the two partners hope to bring a fresh visual identity to the grid, moving beyond traditional racing liveries while further strengthening the relationship between motorsport and contemporary art.
The design draws its inspiration from the unmistakable work of American artist Jean-Michel Basquiat, one of the leading figures of the 1980s Neo-Expressionist movement. Renowned for combining street graffiti, handwritten text and symbolic imagery, Basquiat created works filled with raw energy and individuality, exploring themes such as identity, social structures and cultural expression. His distinctive artistic language continues to have a profound influence on contemporary art.
The new livery incorporates several of Basquiat's most recognisable visual motifs, including his iconic three-point crown, symbolising power and achievement; the crowned dinosaur, representing playful creativity and individuality; and lightning bolts, evoking speed, energy and primal force. Reinterpreted for the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2, these elements transform the GT3 machine into a moving canvas, delivering a striking visual spectacle at racing speed.
From the streets of New York to the race tracks of China, and from static works of art to high-speed competition, Absolute Racing and Trends Hobby hope this series of themed liveries will explore new creative possibilities in race car design while paying tribute to iconic artistic and cultural influences from around the world.
The eye-catching design represents the latest expression of a collaboration that continues to push the boundaries between motorsport, art and creative design in the China GT Championship paddock and beyond.
