B-Quik Absolute Racing is kicking off the 2024 season by participating in the Sepang 12 Hours endurance race at Sepang International Circuit, 14-16 March. Henk Kiks, Akash Nandy and Christopher Haase and will drive the #26 B-Quik Absolute Racing Audi R8 LMS GT3 evo II.

The Thailand-based team is returning in 2024 to compete in the blue-ribbon GT race in Southeast Asia. Last year, Audi Sport driver Christopher Haase, along with Peter Kox and Henk Kiks, completed an eye-catching Audi one-two finish in the #26 B-Quik Absolute Racing Audi R8 LMS GT3 evo II after 215 uninterrupted laps of racing on the 5.543km Malaysian track.

Returning for the GT racing season-opener will be Henk Kiks. The experienced Dutch team leader of B-Quik Absolute Racing, arrives off the back of a strong 2023 season in TSS The Super Series where he enjoyed a string of podium finishes. He also has a class win in the Sepang 12 Hours to his name.

The team’s second driver will be Audi Sport Asia driver Akash Nandy. The local star is rejoining B-Quik Absolute Racing after a robust season in TSS The Super Series where he finished as championship runner-up in Super Car GT3. The 27-year-old joined multiple TSS champions B-Quik Absolute Racing in 2022, winning the Supercar GT3 title at the first time of asking and he will clearly be aiming for the Sepang 12 Hours overall win.

Christopher Haase, who signed as an Audi Sport Factory driver in 2011, will again join the #26 B-Quik Absolute Racing Audi R8 LMS GT3 evo II for the Sepang 12 Hours this year. The German driver has claimed numerous titles in GT3 and GT4 machinery, along with class wins at the Nürburgring 24 Hours and an overall win in the race back in 2016.

Henk Kiks commented: “It will be good to get racing again after the winter break and to do it at the Sepang 12 Hours is extra special. B-Quik Absolute Racing has a big season coming up so this is the perfect way to start off with an intent to chase the win. After the terrific result last year, we know what we have to aim at.”

Ingo Matter, Team Principal, Absolute Racing, said: “We are very pleased with the lineup! Christopher comes off a podium finish in Bathurst, Akash knows Sepang like the back of his hand, and Henk has finished on the podium here a lots of times. We are looking forward to the weekend.”

Akash Nandy added: “I am super excited to have this opportunity to compete in the Sepang 12 Hours with Absolute Racing. It will be my first my time competing in this endurance race since its return in 2023 and it will be a great honour to be driving alongside a strong line up of Henk and Chris this time around. As for myself, I will do the best I can to assist achieving a strong result for the team.”

Christopher Haase said: “I am very happy to come back to the Sepang 12 Hours, especially with B-Quik Absolute Racing. I feel like this is my Asian family. Last year, with Henk, we had a great race; we finished P2 together with Peter Kox. Coming back to drive again with Henk, who is a really good and funny guy, is a pleasure, and also with Akash, whom I have never shared a car with, but I know he is super friendly, and I am really looking forward to working with them. I think Sepang is a good track for the Audi, and with Absolute Racing in the background, we have everything we need to take a chance to win the race.”
