A big weekend for B-Quik Absolute Racing on the team’s first ever entry into the Macau Grand Prix, coming on the 70th anniversary of the famous Asian street race.

The team lodged four Audi R8 LMS GT3 evo II on the GT3 category entry list driven by a quartet of drivers that have never been on track here before, a huge learning curve during a compact, two-day weekend when track time was very limited and would prove even more limited with red flags and Safety Car periods during each of the three sessions, one free practice, one qualifying and one race.

Henk Kiks, Vincent Floriendo, Andrew Haryanto and Vincent Lin are, however, all proven quantities, fast, experienced and competent drivers, the perfect roster for this race and during every session their lap times tumbled.

At the end of Sunday’s 8-lap Greater Bay Area GT Cup race, which was hit by a Safety Car period due to several incidents, we had all four cars in the top twelve, Haryanto leading the lineup out in seventh, Lin in P9 one place ahead of Floriendo to make it three cars in the top ten while Kiks brought his car home in P12 to make it a very pleasing finish for B-Quik Absolute Racing.

Most significant for the team was that all the cars remained unscathed as by the time they are shipped back to the Bangkok raceshop there will be less than 10 days before action resumes for in the final round of Thailand Super Series 2023, at Chang International Circuit (14-17 December), so it was crucial to suffer no major damage here. Job done.

B-Quik Absolute Racing is delighted to have participated in the Macau Grand Prix for the first time, one of the most famous – and the toughest – street races in the world and now the team turns its attention to the final races of a very busy season which will wrap up on home turf.
